Help me find opera outlets and teachers? Pretty please?
Hi, all-

It's been a long while since I last posted in here, and now that I've relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area to the Vancouver, Washington/Portland, Oregon area, I haven't been able to find many outlets, or opportunities to continue voice lessons (and I would hope to find a teacher who has a reasonable rate...), or to even see an opera.

Would any of you fine lovers of opera be able to assist me in this endeavour?

Much love, respect, and thanks-

I used to live in Vancouver... I would recommend Linda Appert in a heartbeat. (She's the wife of Don Appert, who's the head of the Clark College Music Dept.) Lovely woman, lovely teacher, lovely voice. A class act. Granted, I haven't taken lessons from her in about 10 years (since I was 15!), but she really got me started with a solid technique, which got me where I am today, and I'd be surprised if she wasn't still teaching.
Good luck! Say hi to the Couv for me! :)
