it seems, that whenever i come onto the internet to talk about singing, the same stuff always comes up. its always the same technique stuff that i actually know is wrong. i was wondering if anyone else out there felt the same way.
There are no absolutes. What's wrong for one person could be brilliant for another. It might suck for you, but rock for someone else. I see it all the time - one technique fails for a certain singer, then the next one in line flourishes with the same concepts.
Singing's like that. Life's like that. There are as many ways to sing as there are singers, and as long as basic vocal health is preserved (and so much that's supposedly 'harmful' isn't at all harmful when you get right down to it), why not have a zillion different approaches to technique?
The world is never going to agree on any one concept, whether it be singing or religion or world peace, so why not just accept differences and continue believing in what we, personally, feel strongly about?
Im also going to administer some sage advice as someone who has been around the forum block: telling people their technique is wrong and trying to prove your rightness over the internet makes you seem like a child rather than a professional.
